Eligibility
You can work with MA APEX if your business
- Operates in the United States and has a presence in Massachusetts.
- Wants to sell products or services to federal, state, or local government buyers, or pursue subcontracting with prime contractors.
- Qualifies as a small business under SBA size standards (most businesses do).
What you need to get started
- A legal business structure (LLC, corporation, or sole proprietorship).
- A tax ID (EIN).
- Interest in becoming procurement-ready, including future steps like SAM.gov registration.
What you don’t need
- No prior government contracting experience.
- No certifications required (WOSB, SDVOSB, MBE, 8(a), etc.).
- No minimum revenue or years in business.
Service boundaries
MA APEX serves businesses operating in Massachusetts. If your company is based in another state, you’ll be connected to the APEX Accelerator that covers your region.
Cost
All services are no-cost. MA APEX is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
